Kocaeli Academic and Professional Chefs Association

The association is established targetin to set interaction based on care and respect between food and beverage intitutions, individuals within the industry, tourism and hotel management schools, cooking and gastronomy school graduates, professional chefs and all other labourers of the industry in Kocaeli and in other towns; to benefit from the knowledge and skill on its members; to unveil and develop the set of rules, rituals and traditions of our foundation carries educational cookery institutions furthermore, monitoring local and international developments on culinary issues in order to contribute to scientific implementations to help determine the significance and the role od food and beverage for human health; expanding, encouraging and incentivizing activities of this nature; promoting cookery and related issues are among the activities carried out by our associations. Our associationg is a young one, established in 2009 with the initiative and support of Ahmet Sarı, the Administrator of Özkar İskender Restaurant, bringing together professional chefs working in Kocaeli, Kocaeli University Culinary and Gastronomy Department Academician Naif BAĞI and students. Kocaeli Academic and Professional Chefs Association works hard to hep develop gastronomy tourism as an alternative field of tourism in Turkey and to improve and promote our culinary culture with is individual and corporate members involved in food and beverage industry.
